All the nice things Kamala Harris said about Washington state
Sen. Kamala Harris laid it on deliciously thick on Friday night, when a reporter asked her about Washington state.
We were so flattered, we had to pass it along.
Her comments, transcribed:
"I’ve spent time over the years in Washington state.
"In fact Bob Ferguson [the state attorney general] will tell you about the work that we have done — meaning the work between California and Washington — because we have so many fights that we’re in together based on the needs of the people of our states.
"Washington state is important to me; I intend to come back here again, as a candidate for president, because I care about the people of this state, and also the people of this state have shown great leadership on so many issues.
"I spent time earlier with Gov. Inslee, who I believe is one of the main people that highlighted the need for a discussion about the climate crisis to be on the debate stage in this presidential cycle.
"Bob Ferguson has done extraordinary work standing up to the Trump administration, based on a number of issues that relate to everything from gun safety to immigration — to what we need to do to support states like Washington that are making laws that are based on what is in the best interest of civil rights and social justice and the safety of the community."
